With the kind assistance of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, particularly James King, Area Director Africa and Asia CWGC who provided me with current and clear photographs of the Amara War Cemetery Memorial for each of the 64 panels. I have since re-engineered each photo by cropping, sharpening and correcting the perspective to make them look professional before adding them to the Amara section on my website, in the same way that I did for the 290 headstone photographs at the Habbaniya War Cemetery which Brg Nick Surtees, (then) Australian Defence Attaché to Iraq kindly arranged for me in 2023. Attached is an example of the quality - a corrected photograph of Panel 12, honouring some of the men of the Royal Warwickshire Regiment who gave their lives in Iraq and were buried at the Amara War Cemetery. Making photographs of masonry panels that are readable is not an easy task without using special lighting when the photographs are taken, but they are all perfectly readable. As always, if you have any questions, send them via the CONTACT page on the Steve Buster Johnson's website.
