Rare Photo of Habbaniya War Cemetery Entrance 2005

My thanks to Dr Christopher Morris, ex president of the now defunct RAF Habbaniya Association, for giving me access to the association's photographic archives. As I get the time I will post some of the photos on my website. The attached photograph was taken on the 6th November 2005, at a time when the Habbaniya War Cemetery was part of an active Iraqi Military Base and fifteen years before the Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC) carried out a complete restoration - refer to the Habbaniya section of my website. You can see that a temporary lookout has been constructed on top of the entrance to the cemetery.
