Sixty-nine years ago today, on the 5th March 1957, Senior Aircraftman Michael John Baker of the Royal Air Force, died in an accident when the lorry in which he was a passenger overturned on its way back to RAF Habbaniya. He was buried in the cemetery at Habbaniya in Plot 4 Row B Grave 6. He was only nineteen years old. May he rest in peace.

Attached below is a photograph of SAC Baker's headstone marking his Habbaniya War Cemetery grave as well as a wide-angle photograph of Plot 4. For more information on the burials at RAF Habbaniya, visit the Habbaniya section on Steve Buster Johnson's website.
